Hello Neighbor: THE ULTIMATE ALPHA COLLECTION
A downloadable game for Windows
NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FINAL GAME:
Here is another Game that many of you that watched Youtube the last 10 years surely know. And it´s many Alphas and Prototype builds that many consider to be superior to the Final Game.
Yes calling this a "Horror Game" is a Stretch, but does some of you still know the Dreamcast Classic "illbleed", damn i loved this Game. This old Classic was more fun than scary as well and just shows that Horror can be more than dark and gritty.
This Game uses a kind of Tim Burton-esk Artstyle that might not be to everyone´s Taste. I think it looks cool, very out there and unique. the Pre Alpha, Alpha 1 and the Hello Guest Prototypes especially.
In this Game your Protagonist tries to break in his Neighbors House and get into his Basement because why the Hell not. You have to solve Puzzles that get more and more obscure in later alpha Versions while avoiding the Neighbor.
And I mean it: You most likely will need a Walkthrough for some of the Puzzles. Than there is also Platforming, very bad Platforming with very floaty Controls.
I never got the Hang of this, Why the Hell the Developer thought putting such a big Focus on nonsencical Puzzles and Platforming was a good Idea is beyond me.
This also comes with the Fact that the Neighbor himself is unable to get you when you are at higher Floors.
He is supposed to be a Threat to your Progress but in later Alphas and even in the Final Game his Pathfinding and THE WAY TOO BIG HOUSE doesn´t allow him to be one.
I mean THIS IS HIS HOME RIGHT??? He should be able to move around freely with no Problems Right???... RIGHT???... WRONG!!!
And the Lore... OH MY GOD THE LORE!!! Seriously WHO CARES!!!
Because the worst part are these Minigames that are included from Alpha 4 onwards. I don´t want to sound harsh but...
THEY SUCK!!!
And not only are they objectivly bad, THEY ARE MANDATORY FOR COMPLETION!!! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!
Speedrunners skip all 3 of this Minigames for a Reason, just sayin....
And before someone writes it down in the Comments:
NO I DO NOT HATE THIS GAME!!! Yes you could assume this by everything i mentioned above but I don´t.
I always thought the Concept and Idea were really cool and sometimes when everything clicks this Game can be really fun. But I would be a Hypocrite when I say it was Smooth-Sailing all around.
NO THIS IS A ROUGH ONE!!!
Be prepared to curse and if you are crazy enough to play this without a Guide to ruin your Monitor, your Keyboard and YOUR SOUL!!!
Oh yeah. This is why i had to upload this one. Because I always found it fascinating how this Game became what it is.
From the very interesting Premise of the Pre-Alpha to the kind of disappointing and sometimes infuriating Final Release.
A very interesting Casestudy what happens when you focus too much on the wro.... No wrong is not right.... too much at things that don´t matter that much... yes that´s better.
The Second Game is believe it or not actually way better than the first with many of the bad Design Choices removed, still not amazing but it was an Improvement.
And yet again: The Alphas and Prototypes of the second Game also showed some really interesting Concepts and Ideas, NONE OF THEM ARE IN THE FINAL GAME.
sigh... And before this gets turned into an Essay (I think it is already) I stop here. Just let me say even if you played the Full Version of the first and second Hello Neighbor Game before these Builds are all worth checking out.
This Collection includes to my Knowlegde every single Alpha, Beta and Prototype Build that was publicly available FOR BOTH HELLO NEIGHBOR GAMES.
And yes even the Lost Beta 2 and the first Hello Guest Prototype are also included.
I even included the Bendy Collab Mod
and the Hello Neighbor 2 Demo for Completionist sake.
Alpha 4, Bendy Collab Mod and the Hello Neighbor 2 Demo are splitted in multiple parts because of 1GB Limit, download all 2 or 3 parts and unpack.
The Full Game is available here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1321680/Hello_Neighbor_2/
www.gog.com/de/game/hello_neighbor https://www.gog.com/de/game/hello_neighbor_2
Like always: For Preservaton Purposes only
Update: Added "Hello Neighbor 2 Beta 1.0" (Ingame it savs it´s 0.0, either a Mistake or Gag of Devs). Still trying to get a suitable Version 1.1.
Had to split this one, So download all 3 parts and unpack with a Software like 7zip.
Added "Hello Neighbor 3 Prototype 1 (Playtest)": extremly rough, more like a Testlevel, extremly bad Performance, Placeholder Modells,
so nothing unusual for a First Draft Gameplay Prototype. More like a cool Novelty though
I had to split this one as well, Dowload both parts and unpack with a Software like 7zip.

Just curious, do you have the HN1 Pre-Release build (Also known as The Xbox Day 1 Build) played by some Youtubers? There was a way to get it on steam but it has been removed by Tinybuild according to the original finder
https://helloneighbor.wiki.gg/wiki/Pre-Release_(Hello_Neighbor)
I have it. But I can´t upload it here for obvious Reasons (is the Final Game sort of, this will get taken down). The Pre Release has been archived on Archive.org.
So just go to the Internet Archive and look for "Hello Neighbor pre Release".
Oh alright. Thanks for telling me how to do it! :)
Sorry for another reply but do you have the RBO Prototype or is that one impossible since it's Multiplayer?
I have this one as well. And it is also archived on Archive.org. I will not upload this one either because it´s Multiplayer, not sure if this still works out of the Box (you know Server...) or if it has some sort of DRM, i would need to check this first.
But if you wanna check this out yourself Go to the Internet Archive and look for "RBO Prototype". It´s easy to find.
The Hello Neighbor 2 BETA files seem to be corrupted. Every time I try to open them it tells me that the files are broken/damaged (the third one doesn't even register as an archive file)
No they are not. You need to download all three of them Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.001 and Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.002 and Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.003. Had to split the File because on Itchio you only have a 1GB File Limit.
After you downloaded all three parts make sure all of them are in the same Location and unpack them with a Software like 7zip.
Unpack Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.001 this will unpack the other two Files with it when they are at the same Place (they are linked together).
You can´t do this wrong, because if you try it you will only get an ErrorMessage nothing else.
If you have no Clue what I am talking about watch this Tutorial Video first:
I had no idea the files were linked so I was trying to extract all of them individually😅
Thank you for responding!
That´s okay. Not knowing something is alright. If you have any other Issue you can post them here as well.
And have fun playing!!!
everytime i download a "part" its corrupted for some reason
What do you mean it´s corrupted??? They are not!!!
All you need to do is download every part: For Example you want to download the Hello Neighbor 2 beta, download Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.001 and Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.002 and Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.0.7z.003.
If you have no Clue what I am talking about watch this Tutorial Video first:
thank you, im pretty sure i had to restart my laptop for it to extract properly im pretty sure
That´s fine... Not knowing something is okay. Of course if you have any other Issues you can post them here as well!!!
i wish the HN Alpha is available on mobile instead of the full game
Unrelated to Hello Neighbor but I've also been trying to archive a bunch of different horror games too. That's why I keep asking you for help finding Hello Neighbor games. So are you a fan of FNaF/Fan Games because I'm trying to find an old FNaF Fan Game that is "Lost Media". It is called JOLLY 2.https://gamejolt.com/games/jolly-2/197334 But, specifically the original release version of JOLLY 2. There are notable differences that were scrapped in the current version. I was wondering if you could try to find that original release version.
The current version is 1.0.7 and the version I'm looking for is version 1.0.2. You can see this by looking through the patch notes on the Game Jolt page. Anything below 1.0.4 is the right version.
The differences between the two are subtle but important to the overall gameplay and makes the game much less tedious. Here is a video of gameplay of this version (ignore the cringy youtuber):
Just looked at my typical Sources. It seems only 1.0.7 of Jolly 2 got archived. This will be tough. You most likely won´t find this anywhere on the Internet.
One of the only Ways to get this one will be to rely on the Goodwill of someone else who still has it on Harddrive and wants to share it. Chances of this happening almost zero but not impossible.
Or shady Torrent or Piracy Sites which i don´t recommend visiting but the Chance of getting it might be higher.
I am sorry that I am not much Help but I know what I am talking about, finding this one might take even years, i am not joking. Sylvio Prototype took me 7 years to find. Scorn Prototype 5 years.
I am just saying... BRACE YOURSELF!!! and get some genital protection YOU WiLL NEED IT!!!
And count me in, I will now look for it too!!!
Alright bet, I am a bit of a newcomer when it comes to finding lost games but I've still found some pretty rare games. But do you have any tips for finding lost games?
Check the Internet Archive at least once a week.
If you are on Social Media ask other People if they still have it. Check Comments on Youtube Videos, sometimes People post Links to Games in them. Ask through Youtube Comments, but don´t force it of course.
but much more important...
Be patient... I know this doesn´t sound like much but trust me. Sometimes the only thing you need to do is being patient. And than be at the right place at the right Time. And don´t get frustrated just because you can´t find it immediately.
I'm starting my own horror archiving thingy. It's prob mainly gonna be for FNaF. https://the-game-refuge.itch.io/jolly-ultimate-collection
Do you have any type of information about finding the Hide and Seek Alpha and the Secret Neighbor Alpha and Beta?
Hide and Seek alpha and Secret Neighbor alphas have Archive.org pages. May have DRM on them so uploading here would be pointless without removing DRM first.
I have decided to focus on Hello Neighbor Maingame alone. Is confusing enough.
Ok, Sorry but I can't find them so can I have a link to them. (I have Hide and Seek and Secret Neighbor so the DRM wouldn't restrict me from playing it)

is the hn2 playtest and the hn2 beta the same game?
Forget everything i wrote here before.
Yes they are the same... When you buy the Deluxe Edition of Hello Neighbor 2 on Steam you get the Beta on Top of it, it is called HN2 playtest there... So stupid... HN2 playtest IS THE Hello Neighbor 2 Beta!!!
Got confused before, because a Fan Game used the exact same Name... My bad!!!
are you going to add hello neighbor 3 prototype 2 and the other versions of hello neighbor 3 when it comes and not just have a outdated page
Should be obvious. This page right here is called the "ULTIMATE ALPHA COLLECTION" for a Reason. When I can find one I will even add Hello Neighbor 2 BETA 1.1 here, because this fixes a lot of Bugs from the Version I uploaded here already.
alrigh
Hello, good afternoon or evening. I would like to inform you about the beta version of Hello Neighbor 2. Today I came across your page and I think the preservation you have here is great. I see that you are missing a beta version and that is why I am here to offer it to you. I would write to you by email but I preferred to talk here. Thank you for reading and I will wait patiently for your response to send you the file. Have a nice day. :)
A Link to whatever Source you have is good enough... Thanks.
I know about the Beta of Hello Neighbor 2, wanted to wait and upload alongside the first Prototype of HN3, need to make sure it has no DRM first.
I'll send you an email
how do I run the bendymod files?
Download both Files Hello Neighbor Bendymod.7z.001 and Hello Neighbor Bendymod.7z.002 (they are linked together)
Than make sure both are at the same Location and unpack with a Software like 7zip.
If you have no Clue what I am talking about watch my Tutorial Video:
do you know if Hello Guest Alpha 1 and the Hello Guest Pre-Alpha are the same game?
Okay I know this is confusing so:
Hello Guest Prototype came first than the Hello Guest alpha 1 Hello neighbor 2 pre Alpha comes after it.
Was first called Hello Guest alpha 1 but than renamed to Hello Guest alpha 1 Hello neighbor 2 pre alpha, dumb Name if you ask me and confusing...
Hello Guest pre Alpha is according to Wiki a Trailer Build of Hello Guest Alpha 1, I am pretty sure you see this Build in the Announcement Trailer:
probably another Namechange, can happen a lot during Development. Alpha 1 seems to be more polished than Trailer version but Content appears to be the same.Is Unreleased so you should look for Fanremakes instead.
Okay good to know. Thanks
Can you find the Hello Neighbor 2 Beta and the Pre-Release of Hello Neighbor 1?
Pre Release is not allowed here, is the Final Game kind of, this will get taken down. Hello Neighbor 2 Beta... I might upload this here in the Future....
Sorry Keeping Track of all the Alphas and Betas is confusing...
