I’m sorry to hear that. Last year, I started a new YouTube channel and decided to replay all the games I had played before, only to find that some of them are no longer available. I still need to go through and check which ones are missing, but so far, I haven’t been able to find the game I mentioned and also "The Well Speaks to Me". On the bright side, I did manage to find "Jimmy’s Halloween", another delisted game. I’ve since started maintaining an Archive.org page with all the freeware indie horror games I’ve played.
Cool, This is why I made this Archive here in the first place. Sooner or later we will need Sites that preserve Stuff like this. And yes even free Demos should be preserved not just Full Games.
What The Horrors: Lost Tapes is concerned, I of course will continue looking for it. All you need Is One Guy who has it still on his harddrive.
And for your Youtube Channel: I wish you the best!!!
I don´t know if you know this yet but this Game was renamed from The Horrors: Lost Tapes to Stay Still which you can find here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2231730/Stay_Still/. It even states this in the description.
I guess the Old demo wasn´t really representative of the Final Game anymore so the scrapped the ITCHIO Page, exactly the same as in Lunacy Saint Rhodes case, damn it WHY DO DEVS KEEP DOING THIS!!!
I also watched both the Demo and the Final Game Stay Still. The Demo is its own thing, nothing from the Demo is the Final Game. But It also uses lots of Soundeffects and Music from the Original P.T. from PS4. And I mean straight up ripped.
I noticed this immediately, I still have the Original P.T. on my PS4.
But before you sound dissapointed, I found one Youtuber who I am pretty sure still has the demo.
Before you ask how I came to this conclusion. He uploaded this Video just 5 Months ago, the ITCHIO Page was long scrapped by this point. I mean this could also mean he recorded this Video years ago when the Itchio page was still up and just uploaded it at least 3 years later. But why wait 3 years???
I tried contacting him but he is not interessed and I will off course not force him to share the files.
Yeah seems like a DUD so far... I hope you are not dissapointed by this. But one good Thing of this is that there is one confirmed dude who has it preserved and might want to share it in the future.
So I leave it at this. FOR NOW!!! (just you wait Lunacy Saints Rhodes 2017 demo I WILL GET YOU AS WELL!!!)
